What is eddie o sullivan?

Eddie O'Sullivan is a former Irish rugby union player and coach. He was born on November 21, 1958, in Cork, Ireland. As a player, he primarily played at scrum-half and made his debut for Munster in 1978. Eddie played for several years and won five caps for Ireland between 1980 and 1984, scoring one try.

After retiring from playing in 1990, Eddie began his coaching career and quickly made a name for himself. He had successful tenures with clubs such as Connacht, Leinster, and the US national team. However, his most notable role was as the head coach of the Irish national team.

Eddie took over as the head coach of the Irish team in 2001 and led them to three Triple Crowns and a victory in the Six Nations Championship. He also coached Ireland in the 2003 and 2007 Rugby World Cups, but was unable to advance past the quarter-finals in either tournament.

After leaving the Irish team in 2008, Eddie went on to coach the USA Eagles national team for three years. Since then, he has worked as a pundit and commentator for various media outlets covering rugby union.
